12th Party Central Committee’s 13th session wraps up

– The 13th session of the 12th Party Central Committee wrapped up in Hanoi on October 9.

Politburo member and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan chaired the closing session.

The committee looked into a report reviewing the result of vote counting for personnel nominations to the 13th Party Central Committee and its Inspection Commission.

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong delivered a Politburo report on the Party Central Committee's opinions on the draft Political Report for submission to the 13th National Party Congress.

Politburo member and permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh presented a Politburo report on the Party Central Committee’s feedback on the draft report reviewing the implementation of the 2011-2020 socio-economic development strategy, devising the 2021-2030 socio-economic development strategy, and a report summing up the 2016-2020 socio-economic performance and setting out 2021-2025 socio-economic development tasks.

Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh delivered a Politburo report on collecting the Party Central Committee’s opinions on the draft report reviewing Party building work and the implementation of Party Statutes during the 12th tenure.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the Politburo’s report on the Party Central Committee’s feedback on socio-economic performance and State budget in 2020, socio-economic development and State budget plan for 2021 and State finance-budget plan for 2021-2023.

The Party Central Committee voted to adopt the Resolution of its 13th session before Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong delivered closing remarks./.
