Chieng Yen - Promising land for tourism

Chieng Yen commune in Van Ho district, northern Son La province, boasts wild and majestic natural landscapes that provide ideal conditions for it to develop community-based tourism. Its advantages are being developed by local authorities and villagers to generate incomes while promoting the traditional culture of the Thai and Muong ethnic minority people.

Chieng Yen commune has 10 households running homestay businesses.

People have preserved traditional cultural features in community tourism villages such as Nà Bai and Phụ Mẫu, including stilt-houses, arts groups, and brocade-weaving, among others, to keep tourists entertained.

Tourists can immerse themselves in untouched natural landscapes and listen to love stories at Tat Nang Waterfall.

Apart from its local specialties and products, Chieng Yen also has a host of attractive sites for tourists, such as Ta Nang Waterfall and hot springs. With unique cultural features, the commune is expected to become a key destination on every journey to Vietnam’s northwest./.
