Dong Nai’s 11th Party Congress to open on October 14

Dong Nai (VNA) - The 11th Congress of southern Dong Nai province’s Party Organisation for the 2020-2025 tenure will take place on October 14-16 with the participation of 348 delegates.

At a press conference, representatives from the provincial Party Committee’s Board for Information and Education reported on the preparation for the congress, the draft political report that will be submitted to the congress, the draft action programme to implement resolutions of the congress, personnel work, and other relevant matters.

In the next five years, the Party Organisation of Dong Nai province identifies five directions towards ensuring comprehensive development, realising its goal of becoming one of the localities in the country with the leading development progress.

At the same time, it also defines four breakthrough areas: mobilising resources for developing synchronous and modern infrastructure, especially for connecting regional transport and urban and rural traffic; organic and hi-tech agriculture; the agricultural product processing industry and services for agriculture; and modern services, especially logistics.

According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, 84 infrastructure, research and publishing works worth over 4 trillion VND (172.5 million USD) have been implemented in the locality, including the two key national projects of site clearance for the Long Thanh International Airport and the Phan Thiet - Dau Day Expressway./.
