Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Thi Hoang
Van, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External
Relations, attended a ceremony held virtually on November 8 to mark the 20th founding anniversary of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties
(ICAPP).
Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central
Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong sent a congratulatory letter to the
Conference.
Speaking at the event, Van, member of the ICAPP Standing
Committee, appreciated the prestige and influence of the Conference in the
political aspect of Asian political parties.
She affirmed that the CPV will
continue exerting efforts, together with other political parties in Asia, to
contribute to implementing ICAPP’s common goals in the future.
Established in September 2000 in Manila, the Philippines, the
ICAPP has become a positive force for mutual understanding among Asian
countries and peoples. And now more than 300 political parties in the region
with diverse political and ideological backgrounds are eligible to participate
in ICAPP activities./.
