SBV Governor assigned as Chief of Party Central Committee’s Office

The Politburo has assigned Le Minh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) as Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Politburo has assigned Le Minh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) as Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office.

The decision was announced at an online ceremony in Hanoi on October 20, which was also connected with venues in Ho Chi Minh City and the central city of Da Nang.

Under the decision, Hung was relieved from the post of Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the SBV to take up the new position.

Hung, 50, was born in the central province of Ha Tinh’s Huong Son district. He used to work for the Asian Development Bank.

He was appointed as Deputy Governor of the SBV in October 2011 and assigned as Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office three years later, before holding the post of SBV Governor since April 2016. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong said he believed that with his experience, Hung will successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Politburo, especially preparing well for the organisation of the 13th National Party Congress./.
