Streets in the capital city of Hanoi have been decorated with national flags, panels and banners to welcome the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
Nine women have been elected to the post of Secretary of provincial Party Committees for the 2020-2025 tenure, and 28 newly-elected Secretaries were born in the 1970s, figures reveal.
A special programme entitled Ho Chi Minh - Sang Ngoi Y Chi Viet Nam (Ho Chi Minh – Viet Nam Will Shine Bright) was broadcasted live at five locations, namely Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Nghe An and Dong Thap on May 18.
