Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue visited Nhan Dan (People), the official newspaper of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day on June 21.

Welcoming Hue on behalf of the newspaper’s editors, reporters and staff, Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh said Nhan Dan has well performed its information and communication functions as directed by the Party and State.

The newspaper has particularly fulfilled its tasks in covering the 13th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Council for the 2021 – 2026 term earlier this year, he said.

NA Chairman Hue, for his part, hailed Nhan Dan as one of the leading newspapers in Vietnam. During its 70-year history, Nhan Dan, as the voice of the Party, State and Vietnamese people, have done great work in affirming and popularising the Party’s major policies and points of views on Vietnam’s revolution, socialism and the path to socialism, he said.

On the same day, the NA leader also visited and congratulated several other media agencies, such as Dai Bieu Nhan Dan (People’s Representatives) newspaper and Quoc Hoi (National Assembly) Television, on the occasion./.
