Hoang Quoc Khanh appointed Secretary of Lang Son provincial Party Committee

New Secretary of the Lang Son provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh pledged to quickly grasp the local situation and together with the provincial Party Committee and people of Lang Son, uphold the province’s revolutionary traditions and unity to fulfill the goals set by the 18th provincial Party Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the 14th National Party Congress’s Resolution.

Lang Son (VNA) – Hoang Quoc Khanh, former Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee, has been appointed to join the Party Committee of Lang Son province and its Standing Board, and serve as Secretary of the committee for the 2025-2030 tenure from October 15, 2025.

Under a Politburo’s decision on personnel assignment, Khanh replaces Hoang Van Nghiem, who has been assigned by the Politburo as Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee.

Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of its Organisation Commission Le Minh Hung handed over the decision and assigned tasks to Khanh at a conference in Lang Son on October 15.

Hung said Khanh is a well-trained and experienced official who has developed his career and matured from the grassroots level. He has shown strong leadership, close engagement with local realities, and the ability to unite and inspire his colleagues. Throughout his career, he has fulfilled all assigned duties with responsibility and commitment. The Party official expressed his hope that in his new position, Khanh and the Standing Board of the Lang Son Party Committee will continue promoting solidarity and effectively implementing the action programme set out by the 18th provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.

He also requested Lang Son authorities to promptly overcome the consequences of Typhoon Matmo, focusing on restoring operations of schools and healthcare facilities and ensuring the livelihoods of affected residents. He urged the province to continue improving the quality and efficiency of its two-tier local administration model, strengthen grassroots governance, upgrade transport infrastructure, and pay attention to social welfare, education, and public services.

For his part, Khanh pledged to quickly grasp the local situation and together with the provincial Party Committee and people of Lang Son, uphold the province’s revolutionary traditions and unity to fulfill the goals set by the 18th provincial Party Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the 14th National Party Congress’s Resolution./.
