Quang Ninh (VNA) – Vu Dai Thang, member of the 13th Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, has been re-elected as Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 tenure.
Thang, who is also head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, secured all 55 votes cast at the first meeting of the 16th provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 tenure on September 26.
At the first meeting, the provincial Party Committee elected a 15-member Standing Board. It also elected Vice Secretaries of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, including Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council for the 2021 - 2026 term Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2021 - 2026 tenure Bui Van Khang, and Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 Vu Quyet Tien.
Earlier, the 16th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation elected 55 members of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
At the sitting on September 26 afternoon, the provincial Party Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress slated for early 2026./.
