National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met Governor of Karnataka State Thawar Chand Gehlot on December 18 as part of his official visit to India from December 15-19.
Vietnam and India established their diplomatic relations in 1972 and upgraded the ties to comprehensive strategic partnership in September 2016. They are working to implement an action programme materialising the partnership for 2021-2023. They always support each other and regularly exchange delegation across all levels, particularly high-level ones.
The official visit to India by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue demonstrates the importance that Vietnam attaches to its partnership with India in its external policy, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau said, adding that the visit is expected to add a momentum to the cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
