Ninh Binh (VNA) – Officials, Party members and residents of the northern province of Ninh Binh have made meaningful contributions of ideas to draft documents of the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, showing their trust in the Party’s leadership and hope that the congress will chart the right course for rapid, sustainable national development.

Pham Van Dan, Secretary of the Tan Van Party cell in Hoa Lu ward, praised the Party's political resolve, unity, and the efforts of the entire nation in implementing the 13th National Party Congress's Resolution.

Despite significant challenges, including the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic-political instability turmoil, Vietnam has maintained stability, achieved significant development, and recorded comprehensive progress, he noted.

Dan highlighted the Party's flexible and decisive leadership as key to these achievements. Policies and strategies have been aligned with practical realities, enabling timely responses to emerging issues, particularly in economic and social management. Strategic initiatives such as digital transformation, strategic infrastructure development, green and circular economies, and attracting high-quality investment demonstrate the Party’s long-term vision and reform mindset for the future.

He also emphasised the Party's strong performance in Party-building, anti-corruption, and fighting negative behaviours, calling it a remarkable success that strengthened public trust and reinforced discipline within the political apparatus.

In sectors like the economy, social welfare, national defence, and foreign relations, Dan noted positive results, including stable economic growth, improved living standards, particularly for vulnerable groups, and an enhanced international standing for Vietnam.

He also praised the collective spirit of unity among all social strata - from farmers to businesspeople - which has helped build a strong sense of national responsibility. The deepening of patriotic movements and the study of President Ho Chi Minh's thought, moral example and style has contributed significantly to social progress.

Dan expressed confidence in the Party’s leadership, urging that to foster breakthroughs, Vietnam must continue to strengthen national unity, improve governance, and commit to sustainable development.

Meanwhile, in assessing the draft report on the 40-year journey of Doi moi (renewal) in Vietnam, Dinh Thi Van, Vice Chairwoman of the Cuc Phuong commune People's Committee, noted that the report accurately reflects the Party's leadership and theoretical maturity throughout the reform process. It identifies the role of a socialist-oriented market economy, emphasising sustainable growth and social equity, while also addressing issues like income inequality, corruption, and resource wastefulness, she held.

On the theoretical side, Van suggested that the report should further clarify the concept of a "socialist-oriented market economy" and evaluate the private sector's role more deeply, particularly in the context of international integration and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

On practical matters, she recommended that the report address regional development disparities between urban and rural areas, plains and mountains, and emphasise policies supporting workers, particularly those in informal sectors. Economic development must be aligned with social equity, she argued.

Van also stressed the importance of rule of law, transparency, and accountability in state management, advocating for greater use of digital technologies to improve public service efficiency and convenience.

She expressed her hope that the report on 40 years of renewal would serve as a pivotal milestone, paving the way for continued reform, sustainable development, and greater equity in Vietnam's future./.
