The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) on June 18 held a seminar on people-to-people diplomacy in the new context in both in-person and virtual forms.
Vietnam attended an international workshop held by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly (APE) on May 18 along with representatives of over 20 countries, international and regional organisations.
Vietnam is one of the countries suffering from heavy consequences of post-war bombs, mines and unexploded ordnances (UXO). The country has implemented measures to clear bombs, mines and explosives. International donors and non-governmental organisations have supported Vietnam in UXO clearance and assisted bomb and mine victims.
Draft documents submitted to the 13th National Party Congress have identified people-to-people diplomacy as one of the three pillars in Vietnam’s diplomatic efforts, thus ensuring its diplomacy is comprehensive and reflects the role of forces engaged in the task, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga has said.
