- May 1926: Working at Da Nang railway department

- 1927: Working as a clerk at Indochinese railway department in Hanoi

-1928: Joining the Tan Viet Cach Mang Dang (Tan Viet Revolutionary Party)

-1929: Joining the Hoi Viet Nam Cach Mang Thanh Nien ( Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League)

-1930: Joining the Communist Party of Indochina

-1931: Member of propaganda department of the Party Committee of the northern region

-April 20, 1931: Arrested in Hai Phong and sentenced to 20 years in prison, imprisoned at Hoa Lo, Son La and Con Dao Prisons

-1936: Released from prison; continuing revolutionary activities in the central region

-1937: Secretary of Party Committee of the central region

-1939: Appointed to the Standing Board of the Party Central Committee; Attending the sixth plenum of the Party Central Committee at the end of 1939.

-1940: Arrested by the French colonists in Sai Gon, sentenced to 10 years in prison, and exiled to Con Dao island for the second time
